WUW(Wind und Wand)

With physical precision and emotional strength, WUW speaks to the pressure, silence, and emotional turbulence young people face, as well as to self-empowerment. Their feelings, often unspoken, deserve attention.
A moving wall both separates and connects two performers - becoming a physical expression of emotional tensions, boundaries, the gap between ideals and reality, and the desire to break through them. The unpredictable, ever-changing wind mirrors the rollercoaster of adolescence: transformation and vulnerability. Through shifting metaphors of wind and wall, the piece delves into the ambivalent space between closeness and distance, control and chaos, pressure and play.
A short participatory workshop follows the performance.

“(…)„With physical precision and emotional force, Pop Up WUW – Wind und Wand (Wind and Wall) tells of pressure and exclusion in youth, but also of self-empowerment. Conflicts can be resolved, hurdles can be overcome: WUW ends on a note that can encourage young audiences. The fact that ZINADA's performance does not use any words is a particular strength: it creates a directness that gives young people immediate access to the topic.“…)
